Mode of ActionWeed growth is deterred by inhibiting acetolactate synthase (ALS). Symptoms include chlorosis of meristematic areas, followed by slow, general foliar chlorosis and necrosis, beginning in one to two weeks after application. It is absorbed by foliage and roots and translocated, causing twisting of broadleaf weeds. Grasses are stunted, turn red and die.
